Is MEMO really required when transferring to exchange?

Hi! I had an experienced when I transfer my EFX token to exchange.

I put a wrong MEMO but the account name is right?

My know if my token will stuck forever on the Blockchain because of that mistake?

or on the account of the exchanger?


Most of the time exchanges use a single deposit account, and they ask you to specify the memo so they know which of their users is supposed to really receive the incoming transfer. So if you used the wrong memo, then the exchange will still have received your EFX tokens, but they won’t know whose account to credit.

So you should contact the exchange support and ask them to help you. You should be able to get refunded.
