Suggestions for current & prospective #EOS & #EOSIO builders

We are avid users & researchers. We observe & explore markets / trends to find and use products that better our lives, make and save us money. We learned a lot about what users want from our years of experience in crypto and observing other blockchains and markets. In the spirit of innovation, we’re adding to this on-going conversation https://forums.eoscommunity.org/t/eos-projects-in-need-of-funding/3245

This post is meant to kickstart dialogue and inspiration, a best efforts attempt to guide builders to what attracts users & investors like us.

Before we continue, we’d like to point out what we think are a few pressing EOS mainnet etc. needs/suggestions.:

URGENT 1: An un-abusable free account creation process like greymass had in its initial anchor authenticators iOS release. https://twitter.com/greymass/status/1357147461698138112?s=20, https://twitter.com/boidcom/status/1357690255655264256?s=20, https://twitter.com/Jesta187/status/1357762798042816513?s=20

Scaling free account creation & easy wallets ecosystem-wide should be one of #EOS’s main priorities going forward. https://twitter.com/Jesta187/status/1391060178234081283?s=20

URGENT 2: A renewed on-chain push for Exchanges BP’S to build #EOS Voting Portals & LIST MORE EOS tokens. Hopefully Bullish.com sets an example. Previously proposed solutions: Open Source Exchange Voting Portal | by GenerEOS | Medium
https://eosauthority.com/polls_details?proposal=kiliman

URGENT 3: A real-time powerup fee estimator & the ability to power-up using other whitelisted tokens besides just the native $EOS token e.g. USDC, pBTC through auto-conversion https://twitter.com/greymass/status/1374118179715256320?s=20,
or powering up with EOS in REX by combining the refund actions and the power up action in a single transaction (although this may be more costly, having this option with a caution is better UX than being stuck) https://twitter.com/Jesta187/status/1374199823176400905?s=20

URGENT 4: An easy to use opt-in savings/staking service/vault like “REX savings” that gives the 3-day unstaking period+notifications or customizable timelock durations to all EOS based tokens, e.g. CHEX, VIG, pBTC, NFTS’s etc. held by an account besides just the native $EOS tokens. This is for security, to prevent users losing all tokens at once if account active key is compromised. Service should also have tutorials on security best practices (staking/timelocks & active/owner key mgmt) and simple how-to’s on quickly securing assets of a compromised EOS account after early detection.

URGENT 5: Initialize efforts to decentralize EOSIO development. e.g.
“B1 is currently the primary EOSIO developer. EOS needs more teams to step up as core EOSIO developers to work alongside (and eventually replace) B1. We need fewer single points of failure.
#EdenOS may be a possible source of funding for such continued open source development.” source https://twitter.com/b1_is_not_eos/status/1398328971637440512?s=20

URGENT 6: Additionally, getting more EOS/EOSIO based tokens/projects (Market Capitalization list of all EOS.IO tokens | EOS Go) listed on popular cryptoassets tracking websites like https://coinmarketcap.com/ & CoinGecko: Cryptocurrency Prices and Market Capitalization

To current & prospective #EOSIO builders. The links posted below are the kind of products we feel $EOS holders and crypto users are hungry for. These (& more) are the kinds of things we’d like to see being proposed & funded on http://edeneos.org, https://pomelo.io/, https://tstarter.io/ & https://eostarter.org/. Apps/tools on other protocols we’d frankly rather be using #EOSIO centric/inclusive versions of for efficiency sake.

Disclaimer: We hold tokens associated with some of the tools/products mentioned for research & investment purposes. However, this is not an endorsement or solicitation to invest in any of these tools/products or their related assets. This is not financial advice.

  184. Something viral.

Memecoins are here to stay. I’m sure you’ve seen a few memecoin moonshots this past year mostly on BSC. This is not an endorsement of any kind or an invite to participate but we are avid researchers/learners and like to try things out with an open mind. We come across a lot of interesting stuff & learn a lot in the process. Although they may be controversial, there is something we can learn from them. Notably their approach to tokenomics, frequent burns, auto liquidity generation where a % of every trade is locked into AMM liquidity pools inaccessible to devs to prevent rugpulls & a % used as holder rewards mechanisms. These deflationary tokenomics employed in their smart contracts easily attracts speculators & inherently create virality (often boosted by influencer help).

A few notable ones we’ve played around with for research purposes are https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/safemoon, https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/safebank, https://twitter.com/FullSendToken, https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/shieldtoken, https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/moonshield-finance & even noticed some popping up on EOS like https://twitter.com/eMoon_Community & https://twitter.com/eosdog.

Especially interesting are the non-meme tokens based on a similar RFI tokenomic model that takes a 5% fee on every transaction that is proportionally redistributed to all holders of the token, and another 5% fee that goes into the liquidity pool to provide additional security for token holders. Eg. https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/upbnb from the developers of ROOTKIT and iFUND on ETH, uses the same technology as ROOT (ERC-31337) : A huge vault is made for buybacks and recycling of vault liquidity back to holders. Sales fund the vault that then buys back in and corrects dips. Tokens from buybacks are burned, decreasing supply & creating a price floor. Liquidity below the price floor is recycled into more buybacks, accelerating upward momentum. Simple yet profound in making liquidity more sustainable and efficient for holders. The same model was used in the ROOT token on ETH, which outperformed ETH 25x 6 months later.

With https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/moonshield-finance MSHLD, each transaction (buy/sell or wallet transfer) has a 10% tax where: 4% of each transaction contributes to automatically generating more liquidity on Pancakeswap. Benefiting long term holders. 2% of each transaction is taken and re-distributed to MSHLD holders. 4% of each transaction is taken and re-distributed into a BNB pool for MSHLD holders to manually claim every two weeks. An individual’s claimable BNB however decreases if more holders claim earlier.
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/shieldtoken has a similar model but with BNB claimable on a daily basis instead, however in our trials this model is made quite ineffective by BSC gas fee model & eventually prices out smaller holders from any BNB rewards. The benefits of EOSIO architecture is quite obvious when we compare the apps described above to something like GRAVYDefi on EOS where users accounts aren’t exposed to completely compromising unlimited allowance security risks like https://kalis.me/unlimited-erc20-allowances/ and users don’t have to manually claim rewards since the system automatically distributes $EOS profits pro-rata to $GRV stakers on a daily basis as we describe in this thread: https://twitter.com/themoneyteamgh/status/1409426569404190720?s=20

Most of these were deployed with Dxsale launchpad on BSC(Binance smart chain) in the last few months and have contributed in no small part to BNB’s price rally & BSC’s spike in usage.

We believe If a reputable team decided to build a launchpad like Dxsale (kudos to Hernan Arber for Eostarter), an optionlike token like MSHLD / upBNB or a fun meme project with these distinct tokenomic properties on #EOS, coupled with free account creation (or with a part of the 5-10% transaction taxes of it’s RFI tokenomics going towards auto-funding a free $EOS account creation setup/smart contract), it could become wildly popular & would showcase #EOS superior usability & performance while creating useful tools & viral demand for $EOS.

This is merely our opinion, but having utilized/tried/studied most of what we’ve listed above on other protocols we’re confident they’ll function 100x better with EOSIO architecture. EOSIO is a perfect fit for these existing/upcoming applications although their current builders may not be aware of this fact yet, lack incentive thus far or may be biased against EOSIO for whatever misguided reason. There is opportunity here.

CONCLUSION

We’re especially eager for an #EOSIO version of https://alchemix.fi/ as well as #EOSIO versions of tools like https://dex.guru/ https://app.moontools.io/ https://charts.bogged.finance/ & https://safe.defiyield.app/advanced-impermanent-loss-calculator that source data from #EOS based liquidity pools & AMM’s like https://nxs.finance/, https://alcor.exchange/, https://newdex.io/, https://defibox.io/, more self-list DEX’s/AMM’s like https://alcor.exchange/, https://uniswap.org/ & http://pancakeswap.finance/, analytics tools like https://duneanalytics.com/ https://flipsidecrypto.com/ & http://keklytic.com/alchemix that include EOS metrics, Defi TVL trackers like https://www.tokenterminal.com/ & https://defillama.com/, dashboards & portfolio trackers like https://debank.com/, https://zapper.fi/dashboard, https://apeboard.finance/ and https://defiyield.app/, an organized #EOS knowledge base/wiki on gitbook like http://liquidapps.gitbook.io/, as well as an interactive ranking index of new & existing #EOS/#EOSIO based tokens like on https://gemhunters.net/ or https://coinsniper.net/.

We feel these are crucial for #EOS & #EOSIO to thrive & whoever builds these has much to gain. #EOS & #EOSIO is ripe with opportunity for builders, investors & users alike.

Make them happen. There will be at least one grateful user & one inspired builder. Others will follow. Thank you.
