5，为什么是EOS
前面，我们谈到了，如果要构建EOS社区治理和发展的根本性共识，必须吻合区块链的最大价值和意义。又谈到了，区块链的最大价值和意义是创造跨文明新财富。而创造这种跨文明新财富，不仅能让每个社区成员实现财富自由，同样也是打造更平等伊甸园的经济基础。于是，围绕着创造跨文明新财富这个大目标，我们就可以把社区成员的现实利益和BM追求的长远利益统一起来了。
这个共识一旦达成，我们所有人都应该将创造跨文明新财富、提升EOS公链的财富价值放到第一位。社区治理和社区发展，包括各种规则制定、秩序构建，都应该围绕这新财富价值这个中心来。这样一来，社区治理和建设的动力有了、方向明确了、甚至推进路径也清晰了。我们就可以万众一心，去践行我们的共识，去追逐我们的情怀，去实现我们的梦想。
于是，我们应该明白。我们现阶段社区治理的重中之重，还不是如何完善技术、完善规则、完善选拔模式。而是如何形成一个根本性共识，一个最有可能在全球范围内得到最大化认可的根本性共识 。只要有了这个共识，能够着手在EOS生态中创造第一代跨文明新财富了。不仅社区治理可以顺利启动，EOS也完全可以藉此向最伟大的公链迈进。
对此，许多伙伴不明白，问我：Topal，你提出的这个大共识，不是EOS独有的吧，其他任何公链都可以有呀。比如，ETH、DOT，市场认可度、热度更高，就算是币安链、火币链，人气也比EOS旺得多。既然想做这么一番大事业，自然要选择最合适的公链。为什么你会选择EOS呢。要知道，EOS可是伤透了当初千千万万ICO投资者的心，要恢复这些人的信心，多难呀。
我的回答是，EOS是目前创造区块链跨文明新财富最合适的公链 。要形成这个大共识，它的条件更好。为什么，下面做个大致分析。
5.1 EOS具备了成为最伟大公链的基因
我在这篇长文中，一再劝说BM不要把自己的情怀和梦想放在现阶段社区治理的首位。可是，正好相反的是。我认可EOS，选择EOS，其中最重要的一个原因，正是因为BM有着这种非凡情怀和梦想。“最初构想EOS时，我构想了一个基于所有人的生命，自由，财产和正义原则的社区。”（When I originally conceived EOS I envisioned a community based around the principles of life, liberty, property and justice for all.）

他的思考与V神是有区别的。V神更多是在考虑如何实现真正意义上的去中心化区块链网络，让ETH成为全球分布式虚拟机。而从一开始就没有考虑清楚具体的实施步骤和阶段。说它是在朝着一个大方向蒙眼狂奔也不为过。这样带来的好处是，热闹、劲爆，百花齐放。每个人都可以按照自己喜好在ETH展示自己。而不利是，要在这个系统上形成一种根本性共识就很困难了。

5.2 EOS极大的降低了普通民众进入区块链的门槛
基因好，这还不是最重要的。最重要的是EOS极大的降低了普通老百姓进入区块链新经济的门槛。可以说，在这个核心点上，BM居功至伟。
BM前期打造的无论是BTS，还是Steemit，都不仅是他自己的原创模式，而且，具有超强的前瞻性。其商业理念和商业逻辑，再放5年都不会过时。说BM在对区块链技术和区块链未来的理解上，是一个超级天才，并不为过。但是，由于他太沉迷于自己的理想境界。打造出来的BTS和Steemit，都因为其生态太过复杂。尽管其理念、模式都很先进，甚至接近理想。可是，由于其高门槛，注定只能成为极少数人的区块链游戏。这个打击，对BM来说不可谓不沉痛。
痛定思痛。在打造EOS时，面对这样一个远比BTS和Steemit更复杂的生态。BM真的是在如何降低普通用户门槛的问题上，费尽了心机。其它公链都是在考虑怎样降低开发者的门槛，很少去考虑，公链如何降低终端用户门槛的。唯有EOS，在这个方面下足了功夫。无论是用户名即地址，质押取代Gas费，密码丢失找回。还是今天BM依然还在考虑的，怎样让终端用户可以自由的更新自己的秘钥，怎样让硬件绑定自己的身份，使自己的数字资产能比现金还方便、还安全。这一切一切，都体现出他为降低用户进入门槛而进行的全方位思考。
为什么我把极大降低普通百姓进入区块链的门槛，视为一条伟大公链最核心的要素。因为，得草根者得天下。
得草根者得天下。这就是这个世界正在发生的最伟大变革、最伟大革命。
无论你多有钱、多有资源、多有权力，你能提供的只能是一个人的共识。而哪怕在非洲最贫困地区，哪怕这是一个无任何社会地位、甚至连饭都吃不饱的穷人共识，与你世界上任何一个精英的共识也是完全平等的。既然如此，我们区块链革命者，为啥还要煞费苦心的去争取那些有钱、有势人的共识。我们争取普通草根百姓的共识，比争取少数精英的共识，要容易千百倍。争取普通草根百姓的共识，只要能让他赚到钱、不再饿肚子，千千万万拥趸的共识就起来了。
因此，谁能降低区块链新经济的门槛，让这个地球上人数最多的底层老百姓能凝聚在一个根本共识之下，谁就能创造这个星球上从未有过的惊人财富。从而重新改写这个世界上一切不合理、不公平的规则和秩序。
5.3 EOS在中国及亚太地区有着良好的用户基础
降低区块链新经济的进入门槛，EOS已经做到了。接下来，就该去凝聚最大化共识了。而这个地球上底层老百姓最多的区域在哪里，中国、印度。全球网民最多的国家是谁，中国。
得草根者的天下，得中国者得世界。
当今市场上的众多公链中，谁能得中国呢，无疑是EOS。不仅超级节点中与中国有关联的占了大多数，终端用户群中，80%以上活跃用户也都来自中国。更难得的是，BM充分认识到了中国用户的分量。明确提出，要将EOS划分为两个独立治理的社区，分别是中文社区和英语社区。虽然我并不完全赞同这种划分，但其对中国用户重视，为其他任何公链所不及。
“山光忽西落，池月渐东上。”1000多年前，中国唐朝著名诗人孟浩然这句诗，用来形容当今世界格局变化，倒也再贴切不过了。西方文明正在迅速走向衰落，东方文明正在悄然崛起。而中国，作为东方文明的代表，将在未来区块链新经济中发挥出前所未有的主导作用。任何一条公链，如果忽略了中国及亚太用户，是绝对成不了大气候的。
EOS，占尽了天时（大情怀、大梦想），地利（最低进入门槛），人和（中国及亚太用户基础）。 不看好它，还能看好谁呢。
5. Why EOS

5.3 EOS has a good user base in China and the Asia-Pacific region
