EOS How to spread the word beyond this echo chamber

Many people here already know the advantages EOS has over other blockchains but we historically have done a pretty poor job at reaching outside of the EOS echo chamber so others can also see this. This topic is about how we could do that more effectively so we bring new people into the EOS community from not only crypto but outside of crypto too. I’m starting with a suggestion of trying to get Dan as a guest on a widely subscribed and respected podcast such a Lex Fridman’s Lex Fridman Podcast - Lex Fridman with over 1 million subscribers. Lex appears to be open to new ideas that bring good to the world rather than just chasing the pump.
I have started completing a form for a new guest and would like any input from people including preferred greatest hits links of Dan’s.

Here is the draft content so far to be posted here. I’m happy to take on suggested changes or let anyone with more Reddit clout pick it up and run with it:

  • Name Dan Larimer

  • Info: https://moreequalanimals.com/ https://eoscommunity.org/

  • Conversation: https://youtu.be/g1hPRWioFY4?t=67

  • Links:

  • Ideas: Inventor of Delegated Proof of Stake consensus algorithm and author of More Equal Animals which is being used as a basis to create a completely new approach to governance on blockchain with EdenOS

  • Pitch:

    • Dan Larimer has been one of the greatest influencers in the Crypto space having invented Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) consensus mechanism as used by EOS, Steem, Hive, Bitshares, Wax as well as several other blockchains which have slightly modified the technology to launch their own blockchains.
    • He was the CTO at BlockOne, the company with Brenden Blumer as CEO, raised the largest sum of money from any single ICO.
    • In the interest of pursuing his mission to “create free market (voluntary) solutions for securing life, liberty, property, and justice for all” Dan resigned from being CTO and the corporate confines BlockOne in January 2021 to join the open-source decentralised community of EOS to help build systems free from the vulnerabilities of central points of failure as can be seen on Ethereum.
    • A conversation with Dan would very interesting to challenge many of the accepted ideas around blockchains and dapps being decentralised and how the systems could be improved to further achieve goals of decentralisation.
    • Governance is another major topic of interest to explore with ideas around traditional democracy not being particularly representative of the will of the people. Dan’s proposed governance model labelled as “fractal governance” aims to solve this on EOS with EdenOS which is currently being developed to run on EOS.
    • EOS has been consistently transacting the highest number of transactions every day since launching in June 2018 with 0.5 sec block times, the throughput of around 4000 TPS and close to zero cost for transaction fees. In addition, DPOS has a negligible greenhouse footprint compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. These features combined demonstrate much greater promise for the use of blockchain with EOS for mass adoption than any other running blockchain technology.
    • “Description of More Equal Animals:
More Equal Animals is an inquiry into the difference between the idealistic intent of democratic governance and the unfortunate reality of the prevailing governance structures. It builds up a foundation for a new democratic process that better captures the desire to empower the people to govern themselves without the institutions of government being corrupted.”

Low profile for too long time, the great EOS need more new people to know by different ways.
Good work, support you!

That’s a great idea, assuming Dan is interested.
