from today calling “https://wax.greymass.com/v1/chain/get_block” results in a 502 error. 
Did you change something on API side?

No - that was unintentional. We had a brief outage last night and while we were resolving the issue, the get_block endpoint was routing incorrectly. It should be resolved now.
